New in V7.0.9
Adding the Room Tariff - Once on
Check In has been enhanced to put either the Daily
amount on to the Customer's Invoice, or the Total
amount for the stay on to the Customer's invoice. See
Setup - Main Tables - Company Control - Default Tariff
tab.
Important new features
Requires Internet Explorer V4.0 or above installed on
PC
This comes with Windows 98 second edition or later
versions of Windows, so only if you have Widows 98
first edition, do you need to get the latest version
of Internet Explorer. If you are unsure which version
of Windows you have, install the latest version of
Microsoft Internet Explorer anyway.
Access 2000 Database file format
The database file is now Microsoft Access 2000, this
means you will need to upgrade to Microsoft Office
2000 if you wish to directly read the database from
outside GuestMaster.
Windows 98, 2000 and XP are support
As Microsoft Windows
95 an NT4 have been
obsolete for many years now they are no longer support
by GuestMaster V7.0. GuestMaster should work
with Windows ME, but this is not a recommended
operating system.
Main features
New enhanced Booking
Itinerary feature with major new newspapers facility
(Professional edition)
The much enhanced Booking Itinerary feature
allows for extra items to be automatically added to a
customers invoice on a daily basis. This allows
newspapers to be easily accounted for, and for extras
like excursions to be ordered when the booking is
made.
Summary Occupancy tab (Professional edition)
This new feature on the summary screen displays the
occupancy of the resource types in the database
together with the average occupancies across the
chosen date range. The total numbers of Adults and
Children are also displayed. The Occupancy is the
inverse of the Availability tab.
Resource Notes (Professional edition)
The reservation diary allow the user to put in a
booking block just for notes. This has the advantage
of marking the reservation diary with special
instructions like, only sell for a 7 days stay,
without having to close the room. When you click above
the note timeblock to put in a booking, the new
booking will automatically adjust to the length of the
note timeblock.
AutoTranfer to Group Invoice (Professional
edition)
This new feature combines the new Group Invoice tab
facility on Invoices with the Cost Codes categories.
This allows you to mark a cost code as belonging to a
particular invoice folder, an now also to belong to
the Groups Invoice.
This is used to make the Resource Tariff always go to
the groups own invoice, whereas other invoice items
can go to the customers own invoice.
Multi Print (Professional edition)
Clicking on this button prints an invoice,
statements or letter for all of the records
currently displayed on the screen. This is useful for
example when you wish to preprint all the invoices in
the morning before all the customers start to check
out when in the Summary screen, or to print all
statements in the Group Statement screen.
Enhanced Housekeeping summary screen
(Professional edition)
The Housekeeping summary screen has been much enhanced
to now include more details on the customers who are
arriving and departing.
Layout Emailing (Advanced edition)
Invoice and letter layouts can now be Emailed as well
as printed and previewed. Various file formats can be
selected for the Email
New Nationality fields (All editions)
The Nationality field on the booking details screen is
now a drop down field containing the names of all the
countries in the world. Using this system will help
eliminate spelling mistakes causing records to not be
included in reports.

Use Group
Booking Invoice on Booking Details screen
(Professional edition)
You can attach an existing booking to a group booking
by selecting the group booking here.
Mini Calendar "All time date range" (All
editions)
This allows the user to quickly select the start date
as 01 Jan 1990 and the end
date as 01 Jan 2020. This is
useful for certain types of reports.
New installation setup program (All editions)
The Installation Setup program now contains the main
GuestMaster program and all the modules in one setup
file. This make the installation and update of the
modules much easier.
All module now use the System Tray (Professional
edition)
Instead of taking up space on the task bar, the
GuestMaster modules now use the System Tray next to
the clock on the Task Bar to bring the program back on
the the screen.
Enhanced reports (Professional edition)
New reports have been added and many reports have been
enhanced.
New Letter layouts (Advanced edition)
The letter layouts have been enhanced or rewritten.
