Important new features
Requires Internet Explorer V4.0 or above installed on
PC
This comes with Windows 98 second edition or later
versions of Windows, so only if you have Windows 95 or
Widows 98 first edition, do you need to get the latest
version of Internet Explorer. If you are unsure which
version of Windows you have, install the latest
version of Microsoft Internet Explorer anyway.
Access 2000 Database file format
The database file is now Microsoft Access 2000, this
means you will need to upgrade to Microsoft Office
2000 if you wish to directly read the database from
outside GuestMaster.
Main features
Completely rewritten streamlined Database engine ready
for new features
GuestMaster now uses ADO technology with Access 2000
file format, this improved the overall smoothness of
the database and positions us for future version.
New look interface with more simplified menus and
common screen naming
The Main Diary has been reorganised with the addition
of the new Customer menu and renamed buttons to use a
common naming convention with groups.
Non Working periods
You can now mark hours or days as your non working
period.
This is useful to indicate on the reservation diary
when you
are closed, for example, for Christmas, for lunch each
day.
Availability Summary - Pro
The availability list all the resource types
availability for the chosen day.
It also show occupancy rates.
Cancelled Booking Reference
When a booking is cancelled a message box will appear
with a cancelled booking reference number.
This number can be given to the customer as
confirmation of the cancellation.
The number is also stored in the Status tab of
the booking.
Enhanced Reservation Diary display
Groups booking are marked with circles on the arrows
and Internet booking are sunken with red text.
Group Statement Payments - Pro
It is now possible to take payments directly from the
group statements screen.
Quick letter writing feature on Booking Details screen

By clicking on the Letter button on the Booking
Details screen you can easily launch your Word
Processor (as long as it uses standard Microsoft .doc
documents format) for a quick letter.
Multi currency payments - Pro
You can now setup GuestMaster to take payments in
other international currencies.
UNC allows \\Server1\c\Guest Master
Databases\Company01\ and Internet
GuestMaster now accepts this new standard for paths to
its database.
Cost Code Category - Pro
This new feature allows you to predetermine which
folder a cost code will go to by default.
This can be overridden at the time the item is
added to the invoice if you wish.
It is useful to ensure that for example, all
personal expenses go to the expenses folder.
Adults ChildA etc. naming and marking ChildB and Child
C invisible
It is now possible to name the Adults, Child A, B & C
fields in GuestMaster.
You can also disable Child B and Child C fields
if you wish.
Minimum booking duration in tariff control - Adv
A rate value in Tariff Control can be marked as
requiring a minimum duration stay.
This can be overridden when a booking is taken,
but a message will be displayed.
ResourceType tariffs if ResourceDetail Tariff are zero
Resource Tariffs can be based upon the Resource Type
(Single, Double, Twin, etc) instead of on the specific
room.
This then allows us to provide this information in our
Internet module.
Show Marker Lines
This allows you to turn off the marker lines in the
reservation diary.
Updated Layout editor
There is a new layout editor which is a little faster
to display preview screens.
Updated Reports viewer.
The reports viewer now uses Crystal Reports V8.0 file
format, which is faster to display preview screens.
